Today is an exciting day because it’s the start of the Creating a Meaningful Home Blog Series and the first guest contributor is Megan of Honey We’re Home. Welcome Megan…
*******************
I love interior design and decorating my home, but in the end, the purpose is always to create a meaningful home where all family members most want to be.
In our house, we share our space with my three year old son, James, so our home has to be a place where he feels safe and secure, but can also be a kid. The home also has to function for the adults who live here and don’t want to feel like they live in a playbox. Creating a balanced home means that we can all truly enjoy our time at home. It should be the place we feel most comfortable and where we are the most relaxed.
I’ve always known that a house should be filled with love, first and foremost. I created a typography art in our entryway to reflect that belief.
This was an easy, inexpensive decor project that involved letters from Hobby Lobby and black and gold spray paint. Hopefully, everyone who enters our doors will feel the love!
Thank you so much Megan for opening up your home and showing us how you’ve thoughtfully created a meaningful home for you and your family.
Megan of Honey We’re Home is a fabulous blogger who shares amazing DIY projects and fabulous tips on organizing. Her master closet is a favorite of mine, as well as her really cute and easy-to-create DIY Inspiration Board.

megan’s home is so beautiful and filled with love!
Love the family room! Did you buy the entertainment center or did you make it? This is something I want for my space. Also what is the view from the entertainment center looking out.
Thanks
It’s a built-in piece that was made when we built our home. Opposite the media center is the breakfast room.
Love this Jenna and I adore Megan. Thanks for sharing!
Very pretty and I love that inspiration board! I see that with a monogram in the middle hanging on my wall!
I love Megan and her home. It can be so hard to balance everyone’s needs so that they feel at home and I think she does it beautifully!
Wonderful decor. Thanks for sharing your meaningful home
