Design Inspiration: Rolling Barn Doors + Giveaway

Happy Friday!  This is a great day because it’s the day before the weekend + I have an Ah-Mazing post & Giveaway for you.

I’m wrapping up my clients craft room and office (reveal coming soon) and my most favorite element in the room are the two rolling barn doors.  The space would be fine without, but the rolling doors make a dynamic and bold statement + they give the room architectural interest & depth. And colorwise, they are killer…

Barn doors with exposed rolling door hardware is a great alternative to a typical hinged door or a pocket door within a wall.  Rolling barn doors are just as functional to separate 2 spaces and provide the necessary privacy.   The awesome part about rolling doors is that they add a dynamic, unexpected element!

As much as the design of the door is important, so is the hardware.  Rolling Door Designs has a vast selection of rolling door hardware for single doors and double doors that will perfectly complement any door style.

Whether sleek, modern, rustic, or refined, rolling doors are like art in a space.  They can make just as much of an impact on a wall like a framed picture.  And like knobs or pulls on a cabinet door, the hardware for a rolling door is like layered jewelry for your outfit; the finishing touches are just as important as the door design to enhance the overall look.

The door design + the hardware results is a full package!

Design Inspiration: Rolling Barn DoorsDiane of In My Own Style added this beautiful rolling door in her bathroom.  It was a great alternative to the cluster of doors before.  Now her space feels larger and is much more functional.

Design Inspiration: Rolling Barn DoorsRolling doors don’t always have to be solid.  A glass style rolling door like this, is perfect for a library, office, playroom, or any space that needs semi-privacy. Adding a rolling door is a great idea when a hinged door doesn’t work for the space and when you want to avoid construction of adding a pocket door.  This glass door is quite unique and interesting how it easily tucks behind the bookcase.  Image via

Design Inspiration: Rolling Barn DoorsOf course I love love love this rolling door because it’s in a beautiful shade of taupe – my favorite!  Color aside, the door gives this hallway space that leads to the bedroom such great depth and interest.  So different than with a typical hinged door. I like the nickel Earnhardt design! We have been looking for a solution to enclose our master bathroom which is completely open to our bedroom! Such a pain, but this would be a great way to close it off and style up the room at the same time!

  2. Carolyn says

I’m loving the Earnhardt hardware! I have a narrow hallway, and I’ve been thinking about installing a barn door in front of the laundry cupboard to help with space. What a great giveaway!

  3. Nicole Shah says

I love this idea and have been wanting to do one in my laundry room. I love the barn red Winston Churchill. Thank you for such an amazing offer!

That last one that’s hiding the pantry and wine fridge is to die for! I’ve been thinking about doing this look in my master bedroom. We have a sitting room with a fireplace in the front part of our master bedroom. A gorgeous salvaged barn door would serve as a nice separator between the sitting room and the actual bedroom. You’ve given me ideas…

I adore rolling barn doors. I’m trying to convince The Man that we should put one between the ensuite in the master. Some smart person put the bathroom door directly across a corner from the closet door, which means that, when the bathroom door is open, you can’t enter the closet. And that’s AFTER we took the closet door off!

Oh my goodness, this would be a perfect solution for me! I have a large 2 room “family bath” with separate vanity and toilet/bath areas.which translates to no master bath (sad face). I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how I could get a master bath by turning a small acolve area from the master bedroom into a double sink room, and do some serious rearranging of the plumbing to give us a master bath. A big challenge is how to have a door from the bedroom to the sink area. I hated to rip up a wall just to put in a pocket door. By using Rolling Door Design hardware, I could add a cool looking door to close off the area while adding an interesting arcitecural element.

I like the Black Barnum! We’re currently renovating our first home, wouldn’t this be a special treat to add character?!

I like the look of the black hand forged, especially in a double door….a little country in the city!

  10. says

I really like the black Willy Wonka single door kit. We have an awkward bathroom vanity area with three entrances and our favorite solution is to remove the closet door and replace it with a sliding door.

  11. Debra says

Love the les mis! I have been dreaming of a barn door for my bathroom. I care for my invalid mother and it is tricky to hold on to her while swinging a door open and closed. Seems that a sliding door would be much easier. Debbie

  12. LeeAnne says

I am torn between the Don Draper and the Lucky Charm hardware. I too LOVE the interior glass sliding door tucked behind the bookcase. Genius!

  13. says

Wow – I had no idea there were so many different styles of hardware available for rolling doors. I think that my favorite is the Bronze Barnum Single Rolling Door kit. Of course, it would sort of depend upon the style of my door and the overall design that I was going for. Great giveaway!

  14. says

I like Satin Nickle Plato Style. We have to make at least 3 rooms handicap accessible and this is the most practical, and fun way we know.

  15. says

I really like the EARNHARDT SINGLE ROLLING DOOR KIT, but I can’t decide whether I want the single or double or in Satin Nickel or Black. I just love rolling barn doors and want at least one for my house!

  16. says

I love the Hand Forged Black House Lannister! The bathroom in our bedroom is completely open and has no door. I hate the lack of privacy and my husband loves the open feeling it creates. The sliding door would make for a perfect compromise to both our preferences!

  17. Courtney says

Love this giveaway! I have been dreaming about a barn door to separate my master bathroom from the bedroom! I love the satin nickel madonna. Goes perfectly with the diamond pattern I have in the bedroom.

  18. Cindy T says

I have loved this idea ever since my stay at a sleek little boutique hotel that had sliding doors in a frosted glass to enclose the bath areas. This would work in my Little Red Log Cabin using rustic doors for my bath and closet area….Love it.

  19. Amy S says

I would love this hardware. I would consider using it on the bathroom door or maybe the bedroom door. It would be lovely on either one!

  20. says

I want to install a rolling door in my laundry room…was sourcing hardware and ideas on Pinterest and found your giveaway!!!

  21. Michele P says

gosh, these are all gorgeous, but the one that would probably go with the decor I have is the BLACK EARNHARDT SINGLE ROLLING DOOR KIT.

  22. Brittany says

I love the black Earnhardit single rolling door kit I have been working on remodel and have been looking to put in a barn door.

  23. says

We recently decided to put in a rolling door in our 600 s.f. cottage to close off the bedroom area from the living area, where now hangs a curtain. Though small, it is a lovely space and I am picky about putting anything there that isn’t beautiful AND functional! I have my heart set on Rolling Door Designs hardware for this fix. Thanks, Julia

  24. says
